Music Director, Composer & Performer
A self-produced multidisciplinary live electronic performance that articulates the natural progression of time through the lens of the twelve months. Diverging from stimulating sonic structures, the performance focuses on Sonic Permeation—ambient sounds that blend seamlessly into the environment like air or everyday objects. By integrating modular synthesizers as a foundational medium with traditional Korean elements such as Jeongga, Minyo, and Daegeum, the production achieves a profound synesthetic experience. As the primary director and performer, I orchestrated a holistic sensory journey where immersive media art and organic auditory architecture coexist, allowing the audience to perceive the abstract concept of 'time' through a multi-dimensional and non-intrusive sonic narrative.
Role: Music Director, Composer & Guitarist
Officially invited to globalFEST, North America's premier world music showcase, this landmark performance was staged at the Lincoln Center in New York. Serving as the music director and guitarist for 'Insun Park & Generals,' I directed an original live set that fused the explosive energy of Gangnyeong Talchum—a traditional Korean mask dance—with an intense, contemporary band sound. Delivering an overwhelming performance that left a profound impression on global music industry professionals and audiences alike, this showcase established a crucial bridgehead for the band's successful entry and extensive tour across North America.
Collaborating Artist & Performer
Participating as a collaborating artist and performer in "Elemental Set," an exhibition-linked performance by world-renowned sound artist Tarek Atoui commissioned for the Gwangju Biennale, this project represented a profound exploration of acoustic deconstruction. Within this experimental framework, which deconstructed and reinterpreted the unique physical properties and inherent sounds of traditional Korean instruments, I engaged in dynamic interactions with unfamiliar, avant-garde sound objects. Through this process, I delivered an original, multidisciplinary contemporary music performance that pushed the boundaries of traditional sonic architecture.
Role: Music Director & Composer
Serving as the music director and composer for the Seoul Street Arts Festival's planned production, 'Ninana Ninano,' I oversaw the sonic architecture for this massive outdoor multidisciplinary performance at Seoul Plaza—a landmark collaboration between Cheonhajeil Tal Gongjakso and the aerial performance group 'Project Nalda.' To match the overwhelming scale of a street arts stage where the dynamic physical language of traditional mask dance intersected with breathtaking aerial acrobatics, I composed a vibrant, high-energy soundscape. This dynamic acoustic design successfully dissolved the boundaries between the audience and the performers, culminating in a grand, immersive festival of communal harmony.
Role: Music Director, Composer & Guitarist
Serving as the music director, composer, and guitarist for the officially invited production 'Insun Park Has Appeared' at the Seoul Street Arts Festival, I oversaw the entire musical direction at Seoul Plaza. To maximize the unique spatial dynamics of the open outdoor plaza, I engineered a soundscape that combined a high-energy contemporary band sound—designed to elicit immediate audience engagement—with the explosive vitality inherent to traditional Korean Yeonhui (performing arts). By interacting broadly with the public in the heart of the city, the production delivered a live performance and musical orchestration perfectly optimized for the immersive street arts environment.
