A Convergence of Sacred Intangible Heritage and Cutting-edge Media Art
A large-scale multidisciplinary dance production that integrates traditional Korean choreography with a massive media facade, inspired by "Seolwi-seolgyeong" (Sitting Exorcism), an intangible cultural heritage of Chungcheongnam-do. This project reinterprets the artistic framework of the sacred ritual—a bridge to the heavens—into a modern theatrical language, visually and auditorily unfolding the universal narrative of human life, love, and longing through a grand spectacle.
Dynamic Crossover of Traditional Gukak and Modern Electronic Acoustics
In alignment with the overwhelming visual expansion of the media facade, the sound design establishes a multi-dimensional landscape that guides the dancers' breath. By interweaving shamanistic rhythms inherent in the ritual with the unique timbres of traditional instruments and modern electronic acoustics, the project presents a new musical vision optimized for multidisciplinary dance.
Narrative-driven Composition: To support the dramatic arc—including the love story between a celestial woman and an earthly man—the score utilizes dynamic musical variations ranging from delicate acoustic lyricism to majestic orchestration, maximizing audience immersion.
Precision Audiovisual and Physical Synchronization: Engineered precision-tracked sound cues to ensure that the visual shifts of the media facade and the dancers' dynamic movements, such as the Gilbe-jjitgi dance and Sword Dance, remain in perfect, micro-second alignment.
Spatial Sound Design for Choreography: By meticulously calibrating low-end impact and high-frequency reverb to match the lines and energy of the dance, the sound design provides a visceral, synesthetic experience of traditional movement.

A Synesthetic Reimagining of Fairytale Imagination through Contemporary Ballet
A multidisciplinary reimagining of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's masterpiece, The Little Prince. This production constructs a fantastical space-time continuum where a media-art universe, fluid ballet techniques, and large-scale live music converge into a singular, immersive experience.
Vivid Synergy: The Intersection of Orchestra and Live Composition
The production maximizes the elegance and scale of classical ballet by featuring the full, rich textures of the Gwangju Women's Orchestra. By performing live on stage alongside the ensemble, the composer facilitates a real-time intersection between classical orchestral foundations and modern crossover elements, driving a vibrant and high-energy musical narrative.
Multi-dimensional Live Arrangement: A precision-engineered orchestration designed to achieve perfect equilibrium between the classical melodies of the Gwangju Women's Orchestra and the composer’s own live performance, accounting for the unique timbre of each instrument and the spatial acoustics.
Bespoke Character-driven Sound Design: Unique sonic signatures tailored to each character’s movements—such as the intricate Pole Ballet numbers for the Rose and the use of the Indian 'Tabla' to mirror the mysterious undulations of the Snake—merging contemporary textures with balletic grace.
100% Organic Dialogue with Dancers: The live score functions as a visceral medium that responds organically to every leap and delicate mime. By synchronizing the musical breath and tempo with the dancers in real-time, the music fills the non-verbal void of ballet with profound narrative storytelling.

An Immersive Convergence Content Merging a 360-degree Holographic Cylinder and Dance
A large-scale multidisciplinary performance that articulates future-oriented messages of democracy, human rights, and peace through advanced technology and the physical language of dancers. By integrating anamorphic (optical illusion) techniques with movements that weave in and out of a massive 360-degree holographic cylinder (5m in diameter, 4m in height), the production offers the audience a multi-dimensional, synesthetic experience of space and time.
360-degree Spatial Sound Design Maximizing Circular Spatiality
Diverging from typical immersive exhibitions where the screen surrounds the audience, this project utilizes a subversive stage structure where the audience observes the performance from outside the 360-degree screen. The sound direction and reverb were meticulously engineered to match this unique perspective. The seven-act narrative—spanning from the sunset of Mudeung Mountain to darkness, the Tree of Light, and the sunrise of healing—is realized through immersive audio textures.
Interactive Sonic Engineering for Dance: In coordination with an interactive system that detects dancer movements via sensors and translates them into visual graphics, dynamic sound cues were applied to react instantaneously to physical trajectories and velocity.
Narrative-Driven Multidisciplinary Composition: To sonically translate the historical arc of trauma and healing, the score employs a broad spectrum of musical variations—ranging from cold, sharp electronic acoustics to warm, mysterious ambient textures.
Granting Holographic Reality: The sound design adds physical impact and spatial depth to virtual media art elements, such as light particles floating in mid-air and the collective dance of butterflies, maximizing the realism of the holographic illusions.

A Non-verbal Performance Reinterpreting the Daegaya Founding Myth through Physical Language and Sound
A large-scale multidisciplinary production featured at the Daegaya Experience Festival. Centering on the founding myth of 'Jeonggyeonmoju,' the mountain deity of Daegaya, the project reinterprets the traditional narrative into a non-verbal performance focused on dance and physical movement. It is an innovative stage that expresses the primal vitality of Gaya’s iron culture and the deity’s life force through a fusion of dynamic physical language and sensory sound.
K-Crossover Sound Maximizing Physical Kinetic Energy
In a non-verbal format where dialogue is absent, the music was engineered to function as the primary narrative voice. A multi-dimensional sound track was designed to provide intense energy to the performers’ movements, blending the traditional Korean sense of Heung (joyous excitement) with modern, high-impact beats.
Musical Storytelling as a Substitute for Narrative: The score replaces spoken language with a structured musical arc—from the awakening of Jeonggyeonmoju to the prosperity of Daegaya—allowing the audience to fully immerse themselves in the myth through performance and auditory stimuli alone.
Hybrid Sound Design of Tradition and Modernity: By interlacing the elegant melodies of traditional instruments like the Gayageum with majestic synthesizers and percussive beats, the project reincarnates the primal energy of ancient myths into a contemporary sensory experience.
Precision Rhythmic Engineering for Large-scale Performance: To ensure the seamless coordination of a massive cast of over 30 performers, the rhythm lines and musical timing were meticulously optimized to match the velocity and impact of the dancers’ movements.
